What does the overall gap score mean?
The Overall Gap Score is a quick summary of how likely it is that the client may benefit from any ancillary coverage. It helps you prioritize which clients to review first.
Can a client have a high gap score for one product and a low gap score for another?
Yes. A client may have a meaningful gap in one area (like Hospital Indemnity) while already having strong coverage in another (like Dental or Vision).
Does a high gap score mean the client definitely needs the product?
Not necessarily. A high gap score is a strong signal that there may be a coverage gap worth reviewing, but it does not replace your judgment. You decide whether it makes sense to discuss based on the client’s needs, budget, and preferences
Are coverage recommendations client-facing?
No. Coverage recommendations are only available to brokers in the GydeOS platform Clients will not see these scores or recommendations, unless you choose to share with them.
Will Gyde automatically contact clients or enroll them into coverage?
No. Gyde does not automatically contact clients or enroll them based on coverage recommendations. All outreach and enrollment actions remain in your control.
Are recommendations tied to specific carriers or plans?
No. Coverage recommendations highlight product categories (like Dental or Hospital Indemnity), not specific carriers or plan selections.
Where can I see why a product is recommended?
You can see the reasoning inside the client record under the Plans tab, in the Recommendations section. The explanation is written in plain English to help you understand what’s driving the gap score.
Do I need to take action on every client with a High score?
No. Gap Scores are designed to help you prioritize who needs your expertise most, not create extra work. If a client already has strong protection or the timing isn’t right, you can choose not to discuss it.
Can gap scores change over time?
Yes. Gap scores may change as client plan information is updated or as additional coverage details are added. The goal is to reflect the most current view of the client’s coverage.
What if I think a recommendation doesn’t apply to a specific client?
That can happen. Coverage recommendations are designed to support your workflow, but they may not capture every real-world detail about a client’s preferences or situation. Always use your best judgment before initiating outreach.
