Introduction
The Clients page in GydeOS lets you keep your clients' details accurate yourself. Most of a client's record can be edited inline. A small set of identity and policy fields stays read-only because Gyde keeps it in sync with carrier data, and you can request a change to those.
What you can edit
Open a client from the Clients page and stay on the Client Details tab. These sections have an Edit button:
General — social security number (SSN), gender, marital status, annual income, policy holder, relationship to policy holder, preferred contact, preferred language
Medicare — Medicare beneficiary identifier (MBI)
Notes
Emails — type, email address, and whether the client allows email
Phone numbers — type, number, and whether the client allows calls and SMS texts
Addresses — address lines, city, county, state, ZIP, type, and whether the client allows mail
The Qualification section is read-only and has no Edit button.
Editing a section
Step 1: Open the client
From the left navigation, select Clients, then choose the client you want to update. The Client Details tab opens by default.
Step 2: Select Edit
Find the section you want to change and select Edit on its header. The fields become editable. On Emails, Phone numbers and Addresses you can also select + Add to add another entry.
Step 3: Save your changes
Save changes stays greyed out until you actually change something. Select it to apply your update, or select Cancel to discard the edit.
Fields you request instead of edit
The Identity & policy section at the top of the page is marked Read-only. It holds first name, last name, date of birth, client type, broker, and line of business.
To change one of these, select Request a change in the section header, pick the field, enter the value you want, and add a note if it helps. GydeOS opens a support request for you. Nothing on the record changes until the Gyde team reviews it.
You can request a change to: first name, last name, date of birth, broker, line of business, client type, and policy.
Good to know
You can only edit one section at a time. While a section is open, every other Edit button is disabled and shows "Save your changes first before continuing."
The page header shows when the record was last updated and who changed it. Records that came from a carrier feed show External Data Sync.
